I remember this interview so clearly. It was the first time I heard him talking and very much bewildered and perhaps a bit cynical to start with I listened to the words, was moved by the sounds and discovered that space is truly the place. 34 years later I still travelling the spaceways.

Hi, thanks for uploading this. So, I think you may be correct about The Complete Nothing Is - If the 'second set' was indeed from the same show, how come you can hear the mic placement/ambience has changed somewhat? I'm not saying it's impossible that the mics were moved in between the sets, but I think you're right. Doesn't help also that the second take of The Exotic Forest on that collection is listed as being from a soundcheck, yet there is audience applause at the end, and not only that, the end of the track seems to fit up with the start of the second take of Satellites Are Spinning! So, did the soundcheck overrun into the start of the show? Was it even the same date? So many questions!

Any info re: recording dates for this and the first Hidden Fire? Really cool DX synth from Ra on these recordings

Furthermore, Tyrone Hill is on trombone, Pat Patrick on baritone saxophone and probably Buster Smith (Not to be confused with the saxophonist, Buster Smith) was on drums.

I remember clearly that I am the trumpet player on this gig. I'd joined and worked briefly with Sun Ra in the Spring of 1987. We went on our first tour that season in June, first stopping in New York. The from New York, we went to Racine, Wisconsin. Then from Racine, we went to Dallas/Fort Worth. Then afterwards, those guys went to Chicago. But I'd joined up with them again in New York. You can ask TC Carney III to varify, if you'd wish. I'm 99.9% sure that Michael Ray was this other trumpet player. He was Sunny's the main trumpet man, at that time!
